Bio: Dr Antoine Abou Fayad started his career at the University of Balamand studying towards a Bachelor of Science in chemistry (2009). After which, he completed his graduate studies and received a Master of Science (MS) degree (with distinction) in Advanced Organic Chemistry (2010) ) from the University of East Anglia (UEA), Norwich, UK. In 2014, he was awarded Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Combining Chemical Synthesis and Biosynthesis to Generate Novel Antibiotics from the University of St Andrews, St Andrews, UK. He subsequently did one year of post-doctoral training at University of St Andrews (2014-2015), followed by two years of post-doctoral training at Helmholtz Institute for Pharmaceutical Research in Saarland, Germany (2015-2017). His publications record includes 8 publications. Dr. Antoine Abou Fayad was appointed as Instructor of Experimental Pathology, Immunology and Microbiology effective August 1, 2017 at the American University of Beirut.
