Bio: Dalia Wahdan is an urban policy analyst and former associate professor, School of Liberal Education, FLAME University India. She is also a trainer of trainers at the Arabian Gulf Program for non-governmental organizations. She has been awarded the Tri-continental CLACSO (Latin America)–CODESRIA-IDEAs grant (2013-2014), the Postdoctoral research grant, Middle East Research Competition (MERC) & Ford Foundation (2008-9) and the Doctoral grant, Centre for the Studies of Developing Societies (CSDS), Delhi, India (2004-2008), in addition to the World Society Foundation award, University of Neuchatel, Switzerland, ISA-UNESCO PhD Student Award Workshop, Coimbra, Portugal, & ISA-EUREX urban studies student fellowship, University of Urbino, Italy. She was a visiting fellow at The American University in Cairo, Egypt (2011 & 2014), Freiburg University, Germany (2012), New York University, USA (2012) and Centre for the Law and Governance, Jawaharlal Nehru University, India.
