Bio: After graduating from the American University of Beirut school of medicine in 1984, Dr. Kanazi completed his residency training and fellowship in anesthesiology and pain medicine at Cleveland, Ohio in 1991. Dr. Kanazi obtained the American board of anesthesiology with special qualification in pain management and special qualification in critical care Medicine in 1991. He has joined the department of anesthesiology at university of Nebraska in 1992, then university of Rochester in 1995. Then in 2001, Dr. Kanazi joined the anesthesiology department at the American university of Beirut medical as professor of clinical anesthesiology during which he became the chairman for 7 years and then he fulfilled the role of head of division of pain medicine and now he is the director of the outpatient pain clinic and operating room in Halim and Aida Daniel academic and clinical center. Dr. Kanazi has tremendous contribution to medical student’s teaching and mentoring. He is a member of several committees and taskforces and have been awarded with the institutional review board in 2010 as he has more than 50 research publications as well.
