The overall aim of the study was to mobilize support and actions towards the planning of social services and interventions that address the needs of the older population in Lebanon. The specific objectives include: To provide a comprehensive profile of the socio-demographic and health characteristics of older men and women living in Lebanon, by gender, and to examine the extent at which differences in socio-demographics account for any observed gender gaps in living arrangements and family transformations. The project also examined differentials in Lebanon as compared to other selected countries in the region.
